IBM seeks to offer enhanced AI service to enterprises with Watsonx

The Korea Times - IBM introduced its generative AI platform Watsonx to
corporate customers and professionals here, explaining that the platform makes
it easier for customers to utilize generative AI, the country general manager
of its Korean unit said, Tuesday.
"IBM is more
focused on providing solutions and services that make it easier and better for
enterprise customers to experience the true value of AI," Lee Eun-joo,
country general manager of IBM Korea, said during the IBM Tech Summit Seoul
2023 conference. "IBM's Watsonx platform is the result of this
effort."
As the Korean unit
chief explained, IBM said its Watsonx platform consists of three solutions,
including Watson.ai, Watson.data and Watson.governance. Watson.ai enables users
to build, run and deploy AI based on machine learning, while Watson.data provides
the technology for organizations to adopt AI.
The general manager
added that IBM is able to leverage its technology expertise to provide trusted
AI services to organizations looking to adopt AI platforms.
"IBM is capable
of helping enterprise customers implement AI correctly by providing trusted AI
services," Lee said.
The IBM Tech Summit
Seoul 2023 conference was hosted to showcase IBM's various AI foundation models
as well as those built by enterprise clients.
The company also
announced a collaboration with open-source AI platform Hugging Face to enable
users to use open-source foundation models on IBM's AI platform Watsonx,
creating an open ecosystem for users.
The conference also
featured IBM's Korean partner LG CNS. IBM Korea said LG CNS offers CloudXper
ProOps, an integrated cloud operations service, to enterprise customers.
LG CNS has
introduced IBM's services to local enterprise customers by offering optimized
services such as FinOps Clinic service that enables customers to save costs
when using the cloud service. During the event, LG CNS shared examples of how
it leveraged IBM AIOps solutions.
