By
Baek Byung-yeul, The Korea Times - LG CNS forged a partnership with Vietnam's
FPT Group to expand into the Southeast Asian country's digital transformation
market, the IT service arm of LG Group said Tuesday.
The
company said it recently had a signing event for a comprehensive strategic
partnership with its Vietnamese counterpart at its headquarters in Seoul.
With
the agreement, LG CNS will cooperate on enhancing the IT systems belonging to
FPT Group's telecommunications arm, FPT Telecom. Specifically, upgrading its
digital customer relationship management system, beefing up its AI-based
contact center service and establishing an integrated network management
system.

customer management and marketing activities of the Vietnamese company,"
LG CNS said.
CRM
refers to a system that manages customer information and assists in discovering
potential customers. LG CNS will also apply generative AI technology to improve
work efficiency. The company added AI technologies, such as conversational
chatbots and AI-based consulting assistants, and will innovate the customer
experience of its partner by reducing customer consultation and waiting times.
The
two sides also plan to expand the scope of their cooperation to FPT Group's
other affiliates and jointly rush into the global market. To that end, they
will set up a joint task force.
"Based
on LG CNS's DX technologies, such as generative AI and big data, we will
support FPT Group in creating distinctive customer value and jointly discover
various business models with FPT Group," LG CNS CEO Hyun Shin-gyoon said.
Based
in Hanoi, Vietnam, FPT Group has a wide range of business portfolios from
telecommunications and IT to education with around 73,000 employees. LG CNS has
partnered with the group since 2019.
"We
will actively cooperate with LG CNS, a leading digital transformation company
in Korea, to further strengthen our business competitiveness and realize
digital transformation across the group," Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT
Group, said.
