Catherine Teng

Catherine Teng is a General Manager of the Korea Affiliate, The Estée Lauder companies (ELCA Korea), since September 1, 2021. Catherine is an experience consumer industry expert with around 30 years of experience across various sectors including cosmetic/beauty, food, sports brand and electronics. She has demonstrated successful leadership roles in the APAC markets and in-depth culture and market penetration from the working experience in Japan and China. As the General Manager of the Korea affiliate, she oversees the affiliate strategy and brands, manages corporate functions, channels and people management in the market.

 

Catherine joined ELC in late 2019 as General Manager of Taiwan Affiliate of ELC and has leveraged her marketing and brand building experience to accelerate strategic transformation, developing channels, categories, functions and people, achieving strong results, and building a strong team culture.

 

Before joining ELC, Catherine was Chief Marketing Officer/Vice President at Samsung Consumer Electronics, Greater China. Early in her career, Catherine joined Procter & Gamble, where she spent almost nine years working with brands such as Max Factor, SK-II, and Olay. Subsequently, she moved to Johnson & Johnson as Regional Director, APAC Beauty Franchise, and in 2009, she was named Managing Director of General Mills Taiwan. In 2012, Catherine moved to Beijing to take on the position of Chief Marketing Officer/Group Vice President at sports brand Li-Ning.

 

She studied Foreign Languages and Literature at The National Taiwan University and obtained her MA in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, the US. She also completed her MA in International Business Management, EMBA, at the National Taiwan University.​
