Youngje Kim

Youngje Kim was appointed as President and CEO of GE Korea in July 2021. In this role, Youngje is responsible for formulating and executing GE wide country strategy and leading 1,300+ employees in GE Korea’s Aviation, Gas Power, Healthcare and Renewables businesses.

 

Youngje Kim also leads GE’s military engine business in the Indo Pacific region as Vice President of GE Aviation Military Systems. In this dual role, he leads the Indo Pacific team in penetrating and growing GE’s install base in the region.

 

Prior to his Indo Pacific leadership role, Youngje was Regional Vice President for the North Asia region for Aviation’s military engine business, covering Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, and Vietnam. From 2016 to 2018, he has taken key leadership roles in GE Aviation’s headquarter, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. As Commercial NPI Leader, Youngje has created new services products and as Restructuring leader, he has led complex commercial engine and services contract renegotiations with GE’s key customers.

 

Youngje joined GE in 2007 as Sales Manager for Korean military engine programs. Since then, his role has expanded to lead the international engine programs where he has won multiple campaigns valued more than 3B+ USD.

 

Youngje graduated from Syracuse University as University Scholar with B.S. in business, economy, and information science. He also received a master’s degree in Business Administration from Korea University. Prior to joining GE, he served in the Republic of Korea Air Force as maintenance engineering operations and interpretation officer.

 

Youngje is an active member of AMCHAM Korea, leading the Aerospace and Defense committee as a Co-chair. Youngje also holds several key positions in various Korean aerospace, propulsion and academic associations.​
