Han Seongsook, the 50th Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, providing AMCHAM members with an exclusive opportunity to engage in high-level dialogue on the government’s vision for advancing Korea’s sustainable economic growth and strengthening its appeal as a global investment destination.

    During the session, Prime Minister Han will share her perspectives on the national policy priorities shaping Korea’s next phase of growth, including efforts to expand foreign investment, promote more effective and business-oriented regulatory frameworks, and enhance the overall business environment.

    About the Speaker
    • H.E. Han Seongsook, 50th Prime Minister of Republic of Korea

      H.E. Han Seongsook is the 50th Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea. In public service, she previously served as Minister of SMEs and Startups, bringing extensive experience in digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic transformation to her role in government.

      Prior to entering public service, Prime Minister Han built a distinguished career in the private sector, holding several senior leadership positions at NAVER Corp., including Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Head of European Business Development, Executive Director of Service Operations, Executive Director of Service Division 1, and Executive Director of the Service Quality Center. She also served as President of the Korea Internet Corporations Association (K-Internet), and earlier in her career held roles as Head of Search Services at Empas.com and as a journalist at PC Line and Mincom.

      She was named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women International 50 list in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. She holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Sookmyung Women’s University.
