The Financial Services and Capital Markets Committee of AmCham Korea will host a timely seminar titled Stablecoins & the Future of Financial Markets: Regulation, Infrastructure, and Global & Domestic Impact, examining how stablecoins are reshaping global finance and regulatory frameworks. The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Yesha Yadav of Vanderbilt University Law School, a globally recognized authority on cryptocurrency regulation, digital asset governance, and financial market structure. The discussion will be moderated by Chris Minsung Kim, Senior Foreign Attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee (BKL), bringing together leading industry and regulatory perspectives.

Panelist Andres Kim, Expansion Manager at Tether (USDT), will provide insights into global adoption trends, market expansion, and the evolving role of stablecoins in cross-border liquidity. Hyobong Kim, a former senior official at the Financial Supervisory Service and now a partner at Bae, Kim & Lee (BKL), will offer a unique perspective shaped by her direct involvement in developing Korea’s virtual asset regulatory framework, including the Act on the Protection of Virtual Asset Users.
