    About the Speaker
    • [Moderator] Ji Eun Chung, CEO/Co-Founder, CODIT Corp.

      Ms. Ji Eun Chung is the CEO of CODIT Corp., a leading regulatory platform that integrates advanced technology with extensive policy expertise. With over 15 years of international policy experience at the OECD, UNESCO, and the World Bank, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her roles. She serves on the Presidential Digital Government Platform Committee and the National Strategy Committee under the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. Additionally, she co-chairs the AMCHAM Government and International Affairs Committee.
    • [Panelist] Jung Yun Choe, Executive Director & Senior Research Fellow, Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI)

      Dr. Jung Yun Choe is the Executive Director & Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI), where she has been leading research on AI regulations and related legal frameworks since 2016. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Seoul National University, Ewha Womans University Law School, Yonsei University UIC, and Korea National Open University since 2013.
      Currently, Dr. Choe leads the Sustainability Research Group in the Age of Artificial Intelligence under the National Research Council (NRC) and actively contributes to the OECD AI Network of Experts (ONE AI). She is a prominent researcher engaged in international projects at the intersection of AI and sustainability.
      Her latest publication, Research on AI Regulation for Enhancing Competitiveness in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (2024), highlights her expertise in AI governance. Dr. Choe is also involved in various global initiatives, including Owning the Metrics: The Application of SDGs to Mondragon, Korean Nature Futures, Future Earth Korea, and Democratic Governance and Non-Majoritarian Institutions, all of which explore AI-related policy and governance issues.
    • [Speaker/Panelist] Kyle Kyungsik Choi, Counsel, Trust & Compliance Officer, IBM Korea

      Kyle Kyungsik Choi is a Counsel, Trust & Compliance Officer for IBM Korea. He is a versatile legal attorney with excellent problem-solving skills and diverse experience in compliance, contract drafting, negotiation, litigation, international commercial transactions and managing commercial and client relationship.

      Kyle has a history of working for U.S., U.K. and Korean companies, both as outside and in-house counsel, providing legal advice to clients and C-suite executives, working collaboratively with business stakeholders and external law firms in different regions.

      SungUng Lee is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of expertise in government affairs, public policy, and regulatory advocacy. With a distinguished career spanning top-tier organizations such as AWS, IBM, and the Korean National Assembly, SungUng has established himself as a leader in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and fostering collaboration between private enterprises and government entities.
      Currently serving as Head of AI and Emerging Technology Policy at AWS Korea, SungUng spearheads policy advocacy initiatives across critical domains, including AI governance, data sovereignty, cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing. His strategic engagement with government stakeholders has positioned AWS as a trusted partner in Korea’s digital transformation efforts, aligning corporate objectives with national priorities while mitigating regulatory risks.
    • [Panelist] Brian Tae-Hyun Chung, Foreign Attorney, Kim & Chang

      Brian Tae-Hyun Chung is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices primarily in antitrust and competition, privacy and game, resort and entertainment. He has extensive experience in advising clients in the technology and game industries, as well as tobacco, chemical and retail distribution industries.
      As a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice, Mr. Chung has vast experience on all aspects of competition law issues, including, investigations by the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) into violations of the competition law and global merger filings for inbound and outbound M&A transactions. Mr. Chung also handles complex competition law litigations, especially those involving advanced technology and data issues.
