Powering Korea's Next Growth Engine: Building an AI-Driven Economy
DESCRIPTION
As the United States marks the 250th anniversary of its founding, the U.S.-Korea economic partnership stands at an important inflection point. At the same time, Korea is advancing its ambition to build an AI-driven economy and position artificial intelligence and advanced industries as its next growth engine, in line with national priorities.
In this context, AMCHAM Korea will host its annual Doing Business in Korea Seminar as a special F250 edition, under the theme “Powering Korea’s Next Growth Engine: Building an AI-Driven Economy.” The seminar will bring together senior government officials, business leaders, and policy experts to examine how Korea’s regulatory environment, investment climate, and market-access framework can support the development of a competitive and trusted AI ecosystem. Discussions will focus on key regulatory and non-tariff barriers affecting U.S. companies, the importance of transparency and predictability in policymaking, and opportunities to further strengthen Korea’s attractiveness for advanced technology investment.
This year’s program will also feature a dedicated session on Buy America, showcasing how trusted U.S.-Korea partnerships and supply-chain cooperation can support resilient, rules-based trade while creating new opportunities for both U.S. and Korean companies. Through corporate case studies and policy dialogue, the seminar aims to encourage sustained U.S. investment in Korea and reinforce Korea’s role as a regional headquarters for AI, and advanced industries – and as a key economic partner of the United States.
