April 22, 2014 (SEOUL) - The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) is pleased to host U.S. President Barack Obama for a roundtable business event on April 26 to discuss investment opportunities in the United States and KORUS FTA implementation. The meeting with the President will be preceded by a discussion with Michael Froman, United States Trade Representative, and Caroline Atkinson, Deputy National Security Advisor. President Obama will meet with American business executives doing business in Korea, prominent Korean business leaders making investments in the United States, and leaders of Korean business associations who have long been advocates of increased U.S.-Korea trade and investment.?

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) and our members are deeply saddened by the loss of lives onboard the Korean ferry, the Sewol. Our deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of those affected by this terrible tragedy. Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Korea during this difficult time.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) was founded in 1953, with a broad mandate to encourage the development of investment and trade between Korea and the United States. ?암참, 오바마 미 대통령 초청 조찬간담회 개최 예정

2014년 4월 22일 (서울) - 주한미국상공회의소(암참)는 오는 26일 버락 오바마 미국 대통령을 초청하여 미국 투자 기회와 한미 FTA 이행에 관해 논의하기 위한 간담회를 개최한다. 이에 앞서 참석자들은 마이클 프로먼 미국 무역대표부(USTR) 대표와 캐럴라인 애킨슨 국가안전부 부보좌관과의 토의 시간을 가질 예정이다. 이 간담회에서 오바마 미국 대통령은 한국에서 사업 중인 미국인 기업 중역들과 미국에 투자 중인 한국 기업인들, 그리고 오랫동안 한미 무역 및 투자 관계 증진을 위해 애써온 한국의 주요 경제계 인사들을 만날 예정이다.
