Steelmaker opens POSCO Square Garden to public
By Kim Hyun-bin, The Korea Times - POSCO newly opened an urban composite cultural space called POSCO Square Garden at its headquarters in Seoul to the public, the company announced Sunday.
The Square Garden
entails two walking paths and three gardens. The newly established cultural and
artistic walking paths around the POSCO Center have various plants on both
sides of the public walking paths, with a total of 13 resting areas established
along the paths.
Furthermore, there
are facilities for ongoing performances and a place for citizens to rest where
various exhibitions and performances take place and an outdoor art gallery
called the Gallery Garden, providing abundant attractions and opportunities for
citizens to relax.
Inside the POSCO
Center, an eco-friendly design has been applied to create a forest-like
atmosphere. A large media wall connecting lower floors allows easy access from
the ground to the POSCO Center Art Museum and the underground shopping area.
"The Square
Garden will be open to the general public and amateur performers," a POSCO
official said. "In addition to busking performances, it will be used for
various purposes such as wedding photoshoots and nursery school walking paths,
providing convenience and attractions to many visitors of the POSCO
Center."
