With a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades, Chunghwan brings extensive experience and expertise to the firm, further fortifying its services in the IP, Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment industry, following the previous hire of Mun Hui KIM, another esteemed lawyer in the field in February.

Chunghwan is widely acknowledged as one of the top media and entertainment lawyers in Korea, having provided counsel to clients worldwide on matters spanning film, television, media, music, sports, and the art business. Prior to joining Yulchon, Chunghwan held significant roles at prestigious law firms including Lee & Ko, Kim & Chang, and DW Partners in Seoul, Korea. He has led the Media and Entertainment Practice Group and the Global Practice Group at his previous law firm.,

Throughout his career, Chunghwan has advised a diverse clientele, including leading film and TV companies, global OTT platforms such as Netflix, Apple TV, Walt Disney, Warner Bros., NBC Universal, Creative Artist Agency (CAA) as well as major music companies including EMI, Warner Music, and Sony Music. His impressive portfolio also includes advising broadcasting and cable TV companies, IT firms, online game companies, sports leagues and agencies, art museums and galleries, fashion and cosmetic entities, healthcare firms.

In addition to his legal practice, Chunghwan is actively engaged in various professional organizations, holding leadership positions such as President of Law Association of Asia and the Pacific (LAWASIA), Management Board member of International Bar Association (IBA), President of the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL, 2018-2020), President of the Korea Entertainment Law Society, Chair of Asia Pacific Committee of American Bar Association (ABA) (Section of International Law).
