Yulchon LLC Welcomes Distinguished Foreign Attorney Dave KOO to its IP & Technology Practice

Yulchon is delighted to announce that elite foreign attorney Dave Koo has joined the firm on May 20, 2024. Spanning over 24 years of legal career, both in the U.S. and Korea, Mr. Koo has represented numerous industry-leading companies on a wide spectrum of Intellectual Property, Antitrust & Competition, and Litigation matters involving complex disputes, regulatory and government investigations, criminal matters, and counseling. Dave has served as a primary relationship and management attorney for many of such clients.

His experiences include providing expert assistance in telecommunications, enterprise database software, and digital audio compression industries in relation to the Korea Fair Trade Commission investigations and court appeals concerning market dominance and unfair trade practices.  Dave also has handled multi-jurisdictional patent and antitrust litigation matters in the fields of LED, telecommunications, automotive, and chemicals, as well as advising telecommunications and internet companies on privacy, licensing, and government affairs matters.

Having worked at another prestigious Korean law firm, Kim & Chang, Dave has represented clients in high-profile cases such as Qualcomm vs. Korean Fair Trade Commission, Oracle Corporation's investigations by the Korean Fair Trade Commission, and numerous patent and antitrust litigation matters representing some of the industry leaders like Dolby Inc., Applied Materials, Osram, Carrier Inc., 3M, Nichia, and Porsche.
