Oracle-MS Cloud Interconnection Launched in South Kore
By Kim Eun-jin, BusinessKorea - Oracle and Microsoft has launched their cloud interconnection service in South Korea.
The two companies formed a
partnership for the purpose in 2019. They have interconnected data centers in
major cities since then. Recently, the interconnection service was launched in
Phoenix as well as Seoul. The service is currently available in 10 cities,
including Toronto, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Tokyo.
The low-latency interconnection
is to facilitate enterprises’ application-related work using the two companies’
cloud platforms. The two-way latency between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and
Microsoft Azure virtual machines is as short as 1.2 microseconds.
