About the Speaker

[Speaker] Elizabeth Campbell, Research Analyst, D&A Advisory

Elizabeth Campbell is a PhD candidate and former Global Korea Scholar in Korea University's North Korean studies department. She received her MA in cultural studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and has previously interned for or worked with the North Korean Review, PSCORE, and the UniKorea Foundation. Last year, Ms. Campbell presented papers at the Korean Political Science Association conference as well as the North Korean Review / Journal of Territorial and Maritimes Studies joint conference. She is currently writing her dissertation and working as D&A Advisory, Inc.'s reports specialist.

[Moderator] Laroussi Elyaddasse, Sr. Director – Head of Global Security, Coupang Corporation

Laroussi Elyaddasse is a Sr. Director and Head of Global Security at Coupang. Prior to relocating to Seoul, Laroussi lived in Tokyo for three years where he led the Global Security team for Amazon in East Asia. He has responsible for supply chain security, crisis management, and global investigations in the region. Before Amazon, Laroussi led the security team at Nike in North America. Before Nike, Laroussi was the head of Corporate Security for Target Corporation. At Target, Laroussi was responsible for building the first APAC global security team with presence in China, Hong Kong, and India.

[Panelist] Peter Kim, Country President, Securitas Korea

Peter Kim has been with Securitas since 2014 and founded the Korea Branch. As Country President, he has played a critical role in successfully establishing the international brand locally.
With Securitas, Peter has the overall responsibility of growing and establishing a sustainable business for the Korean operations. Peter has led the Company in establishing new security operations for number of multinational companies operating in the automotive, manufacturing, high-tech, and finance sectors.

[Panelist] Charles Chang, Chief Security Officer, Lam Research

Mr. Charles Chang is a security professional with 29 years of leading operational and strategic level physical security, law enforcement and force protection operations in US military and corporate sectors. Charles is the Global Security Operations Senior Director/Chief Security Officer for Lam Research. He overseas full spectrum global physical security operations dispersed in Europe, US, FE Asia and SE Asia focused on high technology manufacturing site and R&D center protection.

[Panelist] Dave Walsh, Former RSO & VP, D&A Advisory

David Walsh is employed at D&A Advisory Inc. in Seoul, Korea as the Vice President for Security Operations where he advises international businesses on security practices. Prior to his current employment, Mr. Walsh worked for the US Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), as a US federal law enforcement officer for 24 years. Mr. Walsh joined the Foreign Service in 1998 where he managed security programs at US embassies and consulates in Malaysia, Mauritius, Pakistan, Ukraine, Iraq, Ethiopia and Korea, in addition to domestic assignments in the US.
