The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) was founded in 1953, with a broad mandate to encourage the development of investment and trade between Korea and the United States. AMCHAM is the largest foreign chamber in Korea with approximately 700 member companies with diverse interests and substantial participation in the Korean economy.


To promote the expansion of the vital trade and investment partnership between Korea and the United States through the active development and promotion of commercial, economic and cultural exchanges.


ico Advocacy
In order to create a business-friendly environment in Korea, AMCHAM holds a close cooperation with U.S. and Korean governments and business organizations through diverse meetings such as General Membership Meeting (hosting prominent speakers of both U.S. and Korean senior officials), Doorknock (AMCHAM leaderships visit Washington, D.C. to share knowledge on Korean market), and Committee Meetings (across 30+ industry sectors).

ico Business Networking
AMCHAM seeks to achieve thorough communication with its members and various organizations through networking such as Inaugural Ball, Labor Day Picnic and quarterly held Networking Nights to help networking with each other.

ico CSR
AMCHAM supports and encourages its members to contribute to the society through a number of CSR activities with events such as CEO Servers’ Night, Innovation Camp and Service Day. AMCHAM also has its own foundation for CSR activities, Partners for the Future Foundation, to support the education of college students.
