“BEPS: Latest developments and next steps”

Dear AMCHAM Members,

 As you know, the OECD’s BEPS project has put the issue of taxation on the front page of newspapers, and has the potential to fundamentally change the international tax principles and norms we have relied on. This is a crucial time, as phase one of the project draws to a close with the publication of most of the action items, and the stage is being set for the implementation of the stated positions. As the Chair of the BIAC’s Taxation and Fiscal Affairs Committee, Will has been integrally involved in the past two years with the OECD and individual governments to present and to ensure that the business’ views are taken into consideration. His visit to Korea provides us with an opportunity to get a unique insight in the BEPS work done to date and the expectations for developments to come.
