Henry An is a Senior Partner at Samil PwC and serves as Inbound Leader with firm- wide oversight responsibility for the firm’s foreign-invested client base. He is also a member of PwC’s Global Tax Controversy & Dispute Resolution core leadership team.
Henry has accumulated 25 years of experience providing various types of consulting services in the U.S. (Washington National Tax, Chicago, New York Metro) and Korea. He specializes in providing advice on complex business and tax issues. He has been recognized in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisers and Transfer Pricing Advisers every year since 2004. He has also been recognized in Euromoney’s Best of the Best as one of the top transfer pricing advisers worldwide in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018 and in International Tax Review’s Tax Controversy Leaders every year since 2013.
Henry has served as an external adviser to Korea’s National Tax Service, Korea Customs Service, Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Office of the Prime Minister and the President’s Transition Committee. He also serves as Chief Compliance Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea and co-chairs the Taxation Committee.
Henry received a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he received recognition as a Jane Robertson Scholar and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma.
Rosa is a Senior Manager in PwC Customs Services Corporation. She has over 10 years of work experience in customs and international trade.
She provides advice to clients in a wide spectrum of industries including but not limited to automotive, apparel, electronics, energy, chemical, construction, cosmetics, food, medical devices, pharmaceutical, tobacco, steel, etc.
Her experiences include customs audit support, compliance review, ruling request including Advance Customs Valuation Arrangement (ACVA), etc. on various customs areas such as customs valuation, classification, foreign exchange regulation, origin marking, import/export requirements, Free Trade Agreement, duty exemption/reduction, and duty drawback.
Rosa assists clients in developing strategies that allow clients to manage and reduce customs duties, taxes and the costs of customs compliance. She mainly works for foreign-invested companies doing business in Korea.
Pius is a director in EY Korea's transfer pricing services group. He has extensive knowledge of international taxation with focus on transfer pricing and customs valuation. Pius specializes in advising large multinational companies on transfer pricing/customs planning, advisory, compliance and dispute resolution. He has also assisted many Korean conglomerates in their large outbound ventures.
Pius started his career in Canada, where he articles and obtained his designation as Chartered Accountant. Before joining EY Korea, Pius also worked as transfer pricing specialist at other Big 4 Accounting Firms in Korea.
