James joined HSBC as the economist in charge of Korea and Japan in September of 2016. Prior to joining HSBC, James was an economist and local market strategist at global investment firms in Singapore and Seoul. He has a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Hanyang University.
James joined HSBC in 2004 and has been in Global Market Corporate Sales for 18 years. Prior to that he was at Kookmin Bank and Kookmin Credit Card, where he was responsible for Fixed Income Trading and Structured Debt Financing. He graduated from State University NY Binghamton in Accounting.
Stephen joined the HSBC Group in 1984 and has worked in the Global Banking division in both marketing and credit roles for the past 34 years. Stephen was appointed to his current role as Managing Director, Head of Multinationals, Global Banking Asia-Pacific in July 2016 having previously been the Regional Head of Multinationals, Global Banking, UK & Europe (2013-2016) and Head of Multinationals, Global Banking, UK (2010-2013). Prior to this, Stephen spent over 14 years as a Global Relationship Manager working in the Consumer & Retail, TMT and non-Bank Financial Institution sectors.
