Jae Jung is the representative director and President and CEO of Ford Korea.


Since Jae was appointed to this role in 2001, he has been instrumental in the establishment, development, growth and profit of the organization. In this position, he leads sales and marketing efforts for the Ford and Lincoln products offered in Korea and during his tenure Ford Korea has been a beacon of the rapidly expanding imported car market in Korea. 


Jae joined Ford in 1992, and was a founding member of Ford Korea. Prior to his current post, Jae served as the Sales and Marketing Director for the Ford Motor Company brands represented by Ford Korea. He was also the Regional Operations Director for Ford's Asia-Pacific Direct Markets in which capacity he supervised Ford's operations in 17 markets. 


In addition to his role with Ford Korea, Jae has served as the Chairman of the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) since March 2012. As a senior industry representative who witnessed the birth and the growth of the country’s automotive market, he now guides the industry to ensure qualitative and quantitative growth is achieved. Moreover, since 2013 Jae has held the following roles: Governor, American Chamber of Commerce in Korea; Chief Vice Chairman, Global Companies CEO Association (GCCA) in Korea; and Vice Chairman, Korean Society of Strategic Management (KSSM). 


In September 2015, Jae co-authored a book titled ‘Being Global, Working in Global Company’ along with other members of the GCCA, sharing stories of his work experiences with young people. Jae has also been very active in the ‘talent donation’ activities by offering special lectures in colleges such as Konkuk University, Hankuk Univ. of Foreign Studies, Ewha Womans University and Sogang University as Adjunct Professor and Career Development Commissioner. 


Jae holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburg, from where he received the 225th Anniversary Medallion in July 2013 for his distinguished accomplishments. Jae also obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Inha University. 


In his spare time, Jae likes to play golf, watch movies and spend time with his wife and son.
